Datuk Dr. Mohd. Nizom announced the Malaysian government's progress in introducing e-Invoice for businesses to boost tax compliance and digitize operations.
Emphasizing its role in curbing tax leaks in the informal economy, Deputy Finance Minister Steven Sim, confirmed the pilot project's launch in January 2024. Businesses with over RM 100 million annual sales must adopt e-invoicing by 1st Aug 2024.
